Meet Foreman Magana: Leading From the Swing Stage

Since joining TNT in April 2021, Oscar Magana has been known for one thing above all: consistently high-quality work. He's also remarkably versatile, having worked across nearly every type of restoration the company offers. That combination earned him a step up. In the fall of 2025, Oscar moved into a foreman role, and he's been leading projects exceptionally well ever since.

Masonry is in his blood. Oscar was drawn to the trade in part because earlier generations of his family worked in construction, and that heritage helped shape the path he's on today.

Ask him to name a favorite project and he won't pick just one. "All of them have been memorable," he says, because every job brings a new set of challenges the moment the work begins. That's the part he likes most: no two restorations are alike, and each one asks something different of the crew.

That versatility shows in the buildings he's helped restore, from the historic Iowa City Senior Center and Park Avenue Elementary School in Des Moines, to the Blair House high-rise in Cedar Rapids and Rock Island Stadium just across the river. That range, from historic preservation to large-scale commercial facades, is exactly the kind of work a strong foreman holds to standard.

He's just as quick to credit the people. Oscar values the work environment at TNT: strong relationships with his coworkers and the owners, and clear, straightforward communication on every job. It's the kind of culture that keeps good crews together and the work standard high.

Off the clock, Oscar's time goes to his family. He's also a die-hard baseball fan, a passion that's only grown stronger now that his son plays the game.
