Orchestra Iowa's building at 119 3rd Avenue SE sits in the heart of downtown Cedar Rapids. Its west facade needed tuckpointing.
On a tall wall downtown, access is half the job. We worked from a swing stage, which gave our masons a stable platform at every height of the wall.
The result is clean, fresh mortar joints across the facade. Good tuckpointing does two things: it closes the open joints that let water in, and it brings back the crisp, finished look of the wall.
