At the Nauvoo Visitor Center, 50 N. Wells Street in Nauvoo, Illinois, we cleaned a large bronze equestrian statue and the granite plaza in front of the Nauvoo Temple, above the Mississippi River valley.

Monuments and plazas need gentle cleaning. The goal is to remove the grime and staining without harming the bronze or the granite, so methods and pressure have to suit each surface.

On a second job we stained the Sun Stone. Work at a site like this is about care and respect for a place that matters to a lot of people.

This is the kind of work we do on churches and religious sites across Illinois: building cleaning.
