Restored entrance steps of the historic Johnson County Courthouse in Iowa City, Iowa

Entrance steps take the most wear on any public building.

Market:

The historic Johnson County Courthouse at 417 S. Clinton Street in Iowa City needed its entrance steps restored.

Entrance steps take more wear than any other part of a public building. Foot traffic, snow shovels, de-icing salt and freeze-thaw all work on the stone and joints every winter.

We completed stone repair and tuckpointing on the steps to make them sound, safe and in keeping with the historic courthouse.

This is the kind of work we do on public buildings in Iowa City: stone repair and tuckpointing.
