On a school remodel, new masonry has to match the old and last for decades.

General Contractor

Market:

Iowa City High School at 1900 Morningside Drive went through a multi-phase remodel, and we handled the masonry for Phase 3. Work on a school remodel is a little different from work on a standalone building. New masonry has to tie into a campus that's already there, and it has to look like it belongs.

The finished facade is a multi-color brick wall with clean, consistent joints. On a school, that consistency matters for more than looks. Even joints and a tight wall mean fewer leaks, less maintenance and a building that holds up to decades of daily use.

School work also has to fit around the people using the building, which is part of planning every school job we do.

This is the kind of work we do on schools and campuses in Iowa City.
