Meet Zach Johnson

This month’s employee spotlight features Zach Johnson, an Assistant Project Manager who has been part of the TNT Tuckpointing team since 2019. Zach started with TNT as a junior in high school and has worked with the company every summer since. During the academic year, he continues to support TNT on a part-time basis, transitioning to full-time each summer while completing his degree. With the exception of one summer spent interning with a large general contractor, TNT has remained his professional home base—and the place he plans to join full-time after graduating college in January 2027.
In his role as Assistant Project Manager, Zach assists with the planning, coordination, and execution of masonry restoration projects. While project management is a newer focus for him, he has always enjoyed being part of the full construction process and contributing to projects from start to finish. What he values most is delivering quality work and taking pride in the finished product—something he believes is increasingly lacking across the industry.
One of Zach’s most memorable projects was the St. Ambrose University's Lewis Hall full parapet rebuild. The project stood out due to its complexity and the means and methods involved. Utilizing Fraco mast climbers to access and run the full length of the parapet made it a technically interesting project and a strong example of how proper planning and equipment selection support efficient, high-quality restoration work.
Zach currently attends the University of Northern Iowa, where he is completing a degree in Project Management, with graduation scheduled for this upcoming fall. He was drawn to this career path because masonry restoration is a true specialty—every project presents different challenges, and the work remains both technical and rewarding.
Outside of work, Zach enjoys hunting and training his Labrador retriever for hunt tests. These hobbies reflect the same discipline, patience, and attention to detail he brings to his role at TNT.
We’re proud to have Zach as part of the TNT team and look forward to welcoming him into a full-time role upon completion of his degree in 2027.
