The Problem

The sludge tank, a critical component of wastewater treatment infrastructure, was experiencing deterioration due to exposure to harsh chemicals and constant moisture. This degradation posed a risk to the facility's operational efficiency and environmental safety.

Our Approach

To ensure the continued reliability and safety of the sludge tank, TNT Tuckpointing provided specialized masonry services. We worked under the direction of Stanley Consultants from Muscatine, IA and the City of Iowa City.

Our team performed a full brick replacement, and installed teflon bearing plates and flashing repairs for the dome structure. By addressing the brick and flashing failures we protect the tank from further deterioration, we helped maintain the facility's optimal performance.
