# TNT Tuckpointing & Building Restoration, LLC > TNT Tuckpointing & Building Restoration is a family-owned, owner-operated commercial masonry restoration contractor founded in 1993 and based in Stockton, Iowa. The company self-performs all work — tuckpointing, masonry and concrete restoration, historic preservation, building envelope repair, and masonry staining — for commercial, institutional, industrial, and historic buildings across Iowa, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Illinois. TNT does not perform residential work. Roughly half of its projects are historic preservation. TNT Tuckpointing has completed 2,000+ projects over 30+ years and holds a 4.9-star Google rating. All masonry work is self-performed by TNT's own trained crews (20+ team members), never subcontracted. Projects range from about $2,500 to several million dollars, and every project includes a 2-year written workmanship warranty plus a closeout package with photography, warranty documentation, and product data sheets. Owners Josh and Megan Smyser lead the company. Josh Smyser serves as Vice President of the ICRI Iowa/Illinois Chapter and sits on the SWR Institute's Training and Validation Committee. TNT is an active member of the Mason Contractors Association of America (MCAA), the International Concrete Repair Institute (ICRI), the SWR Institute, The Masonry Society (TMS), Master Builders of Iowa, and Preservation Iowa. Crews hold certifications in lime putty restoration and stone patching, plus product certifications from manufacturers including US Heritage, Sika, Tremco, and Prosoco.
